Bingley Town 1 – 3 Gargrave AFC Reserves

October 20, 2008

A great all round team performance secured a good win for Gargrave Reserves on Saturday when they visited Bingley Town.

Richard Scott opened the scoring on four minutes with a shot which hit the roof of the net. Tom Varey made no mistake with the second. Bingley Town pulled a goal back but Gargrave continued with some sweet passing football and Matthew Simpson neatly rounded the keeper to secure a fine victory. The score could have been greater but for some spurned missed chances but the goals have started to come as the side becomes more settled. A good performance from Sam Ashby earned him the man of the match award.
