Bradley FC 1 – 2 Gargrave AFC Reserves

November 23, 2008

The latest game in a long run of away fixtures was played at Bradley on Saturday.

A quick goal on the three minute mark came from Bradley which seemed to wake up the Gargrave defence who from then on remained solid. Mattie Simpson was in fine form and relishing playing against the side he initially joined pre the season commencing. His free kick notched up the equaliser. The second goal was again courtesy of Simpson as he ran through the Bradley defence and fired home a bullet shot.

It was a sterling performance from Gargrave as they overcame the perils of the sloping Bradley pitch. Lee Barrett caught the eye of the opposition when they named him as the man of the match.

The side can enjoy a brief break next week as they have no game and then on the 6th December they will be away once more at Padiham. The following week, Saturday 13th December they are away again in the League cup at Embsay.
