Oliver Hurst injured
October 19, 2008
We are pleased to report that the injury to Oliver Hurst on Saturday was not as severe as first thought. The injury to his leg needed stitches and he is now recovering well at home. Everyone at the club wishes him a speedy recovery and looks forward to seeing him back on the pitch in the not too distant future.
A big thank you to Nathan Lockey for calling the ambulance so promptly.

[...] Manager Luke Boatwright’s half time team talk proved somewhat misguided and costly, as he urged his Gargrave players to “Go into those tackles 100%, if you don’t go in 100% you’ll end up breaking a leg”. Shortly after that Gargrave midfielder Oliver Hurst went into a 50/50 tackle and gave it 100%…the game was delayed for around 20 minutes whilst the ambulance took him away to the hospital.
