Gargrave AFC

Craven FA Morrison Cup…..

February 22, 2015

Gargrave AFC  1  -  5  Pendle Renegades

Great credit to player Manager Jonathan Chapman for managing to raise a side. Initially he was told there was no scheduled game and so players had made other arrangements and some regulars were also on holiday.

The Gargrave Secretary had made an error about the Craven FA game but fortunately realised at short notice  that the Craven FA game was meant to take place on Saturday ( 21st February ).

Eleven available players were drafted in at the last moment and it was good to welcome back Adam Hudson who stepped into the keepers void.

Pendle Renegades move into the next round with a 5-1 win and though on paper this sounds like a comprehensive win, the game was much closer than the score would suggest. Matthew Brennand was the lone scorer for Gargrave.

The next game for Gargrave is a League game at home on February 28th. Kick Off 2.p.m Vs  Bingley Town.
