There was a good attendance at the recent AGM, sadness was expressed over the death of club President Mr. Dennis French who had been closely involved with the club for almost seventy years. Mr. David Syms. a football colleague and a good friend of Dennis`s has kindly accepted the invitation to become the new President of Gargrave Football Club. David began playing football at the club in 1952 and like Dennis also took on Managerial duties later in his career.

The Division One runners up trophies were presented to those players present by the chairman, Mr. John Thompson.

End of season…..

May 7, 2015

Congratulations to all players who have taken part during the season, the rolling registrations are now available for season 2015/16. Anyone wishing to sign for the team can contact Dan.

Chappie is hoping to do a bit of work to the pitch, goalmouths etc  in the near future. Help needed please, runners up trophies will be handed out on that day and signing on forms available. Please contact Chappie if you want to be involved or haven`t already heard from him.

Chris Cowgill of Lothersdale is now cutting the grass at the club. Many thanks to Ray Patrick for undertaking this work in the past.

Any Volunteers for painting the railings around the pitch?  Chris Lancaster a past player kindly started the work last year.

Volunteers again needed on Gargrave show day, August 22nd , from around 6.p.m, to clear the field of posts and railings etc. The show committee donate £200 to the club if this work is undertaken. We badly need funds this year as we purchased the new goal posts at approx £900.00. Dosn`t take long  if there are a few people to help.

AGM will be held in early June, please attend if you can. Date to be arranged.
