Craven FA Challenge Cup… Skipton LMS 3 – 2 Gargrave AFC

September 21, 2014

Unbeaten Division One side Gargrave travelled to Premier Division high fliers Skipton LMS and took the lead after a knock down  from a Liam Jameson free kick found Christian Moon who slotted into the empty net.

Gargrave continued to match their Premier Division opponents and went in at half time with a well deserved 1-0 lead.

The second half started much the same with little to choose between the two teams but LMS drew level from the penalty spot. They then took the lead when a free kick from the edge of the box took a lucky deflection off a Gargrave defender and ended up in the back of the net.

Gargrave showed great spirit and drew level with a clinical finish from veteran striker Ben Brown. As extra time loomed LMS snatched the winner from a quick corner.
